About the Author
Author Christopher Van Tilburg started skiing at age seven on Oregon's famed Mount Hood. An emergency and wilderness physician, Van Tilburg works as a mountain doctor at a ski resort. In addition to writing seven books, he serves as editor-in-chief for Wilderness Medicine magazine. A member of Crag Rats Mountain Rescue in Hood River, Oregon, he lives with his wife and two daughters in the Columbia River Gorge area.

Short on Details

I found the trail descriptions were too short on details. I do not use a guide and with only topo maps more definitive information was needed.
